The New SuperLok series compression connector utilizes 2 independent compression points to seal and hold the coaxial cable to the connector. Other compression type connectors employ only one point for both which requires extensive compression of the cable jacket to achieve the same goal. The SuperLok's patented first stage compression/locking method, in use for over 8 years, insures the highest holding force by using inward facing teeth which lock into the cable jacket. FOUR SUPERLOK(tm) ADVANTAGES: * 1. Improved Long-Term Sealing: Compression connectors require the PVC cable jackets to act as a spring in maintaining the required pressure to keep out moisture. As with any spring, if over compressed, it will lose its elasticity and migrate away from the point of excessive pressure, leaving that point thinner. Thus, moisture ingress resistance is reduced. This situation can worsened over time if that same compression point is overstressed by cable movement and pulling. The SuperLok does not require the rear sealing point to be responsible for the complete cable holding force and therefore can compress the PVC significantly less. This will result the highest level of moisture resistance over time. Two O-ring seals are included to resist moisture ingress from the F threads and outer shell/body interface. * 2. Lower Insertion Force: By having 2 points of compression, the Superlok's mandrel barb is no longer responsible for the entire holding force and can be designed with a lower profile, thus reducing the cable push-on force. * 3. Less Craft Sensitivity: Most connectors rely on the final few millimeters of compression for the majority of their holding force. Therefore, the first ¾ of the compression tool closure does not enable much of the sealing or holding function. If the installer does not complete the tool closure, the connector will not perform to its potential. The SuperLok connector begins its holding capability within the first 50% of tool closure ensuring a less craft sensitive installation . The patented GF81 Premium series of F splices has been designed for high frequency applications where both mechanical and electrical performance are required. The performance of this series exceeds all new SCTE requirements and is also ideal for 2 GHz systems. Lower Insertion Loss: The G-F81 Premium series has approximately one-third the insertion loss of standard flat pin splices, making it a cost effective benefit for 1 GHz systems as well as 2GHz DBS distribution where over .5 dB/splice is saved. Higher Frequency Operation: The internal air dielectic, in combination with the round pin design, provides superior matching over a wide frequency range between DC and 3 GHz. High Return Loss: With a RL over 30 dB at 1 GHz (25 dB at 2 GHz) as compared to 13 dB at 1 Ghz for a standard flat pin splice, the G-F81 can assure a perfect match which reduces reflections, especially important when disturbing digital signals. The new premium series exceeds the SCTE return loss specification of 20 dB. Round Seizing Pin- Greater Holding Force, Contact Area, Lower Contact Resistance: Our patented round seizing pin provides twice the holding force, greater than twice the contact area, and half the contact resistance of standard flat pin splices. In addition to providing superior performance when using DC, it can substantially reduce the build up of oxidation and corrosion on the center conductor/ pin junction. With the high signal levels used in reverse path home generation, an oxidized junction can generate undesirable intermodulation distortion. Patented Design: The patented wiping action of the pins gently cleans the center conductor without scratching off the thin copper clad.
